5 Days
Schedule
Astro Pioneers Day 1
Learn about Space Trek and the basics of rocket science, and assemble your very own rocket in a group of 4, similar to a small scale NASA launch team. Then get ready for your first rocket launch! End the day by exploring the Kennedy Space Center’s exhibits such as Gateway and Heroes and Legends.
Astro Pioneers Day 2
The BETA, or Bottle Engine Testing Apparatus, is Space Trek’s indoor rocket launch lab equipment! Experiment with the BETA to learn about how factors like fuel volume, pressure, and nozzle diameter affect the path of a rocket. Then go outside and compete to test your theories! In the Visitor’s Complex, meet an astronaut and an exclusive bus tour to the vehicle assembly building, then see the historic Saturn V that took men to the moon!
Astro Pioneers Day 3
Begin to learn the basics of programming logic and code your first robot using blocky code. Visit the Rocket Garden and experience an inspiring astronomical IMAX Movie.
Astro Pioneers Day 4
Learn to use more sensors and complete a robot maze. Experience the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and go on the Shuttle Launch Experience.
Astro Pioneers Day 5
Explore our Martian Surface with your very own rover for the final competition! On this day is the graduation ceremony. All students will be given a certificate of excellence to commemorate their successful completion of the program. Explore the world’s largest space shop!
